Miss Granny (Korean Movie)

Hey Everyone!

As you can see, I've gotten a little behind on my review writing, but today I watched a movie and just had to post about it! The movie was called Miss Granny and I absolutely adored it! It was mainly about an old granny that got a second chance at youth. Oh Mal Soon lived her whole life raising her son, but one day he decided to send his mother to an old folk's home because of his wife's illness. That day, MS decided to leave home and on her way she came across a mysterious photography shop. There, she meant to take her picture for her funeral but instead became 50 years younger. After that occured, she decided to live her life the way she always dreamed to. The rest of the movie showed Oh Mal Soon and her hilarious adventures. I really liked the movie because it was very refreshing and showed the struggles parents go through for their children, as well as the theme of "enjoy your youth while you can". I definitely give this movie at 5 out of 5 stars. That's it for now.

You're All Surrounded

Hey Everyone!

It has been a while since I last posted on here! I actually have finished quite a few dramas between my last post and now, but I just haven't had a chance to sit down and write the reviews. I admit, I have finished a few more than the reviews I will post because a few of them I just skimmed through for fun and do not feel they need to be reviewed. However, if anyone is interested in knowing all the dramas that I have watched thusfar, please view My Drama List. Anyways, the most recent drama that I finished (like literally a few minutes ago) was You're All Surrounded. This drama starred Lee Seung Gi and Go Ara. I have to admit, Go Ara is getting in my good books since her role in Reply 1994. I honestly thought maybe she was a one-hit pony, but she actually did a great job in this new drama as well. The drama was mainly about police detectives and a major unsolved case from 11 years ago. The first scene showed the current year where new recruits were welcome to the Gangnam police station. There, we met Eun Dae Gu/Kim Ji Yong, Uh Soo Soon, Park Tae Il, and Ji Gook. The four ended up on Seo Pan Suk's team. Suddenly, we are taken back to the past (11 years ago) during one of PS's cases. PS at that time was investigating a businessman and Kim Ji Yong's mother was an eye witness. However, during the investigation, suddenly JY's mother was killed and JY was chased by her killer. In the current time, it turned out that the case was never solved. The rest of the drama revolved around JY trying to figure out what really happened and who really killed his mother. The drama had great humour as well as sad scenes. I have to admit it was a nice emotional rollercoaster ride. I will definitely give this drama a 5 out of 5 stars because there was plenty of closure. That's it for now.

God's Gift - 14 Days

Hey Everyone!

I just remembered that I have not posted this review yet. I actually finished this drama almost a week ago, but I totally forgot to post this till now. Anyways, the drama was called God's Gift - 14 Days, and it was mainly about Kim Soo Hyun and her journey to saving her daughter from getting kidnapped. Okay... so that sounds weird right? How could she know her daughter would get kidnapped? Well, the drama started off with 2 very vague episodes about Han Saet Byul (her daughter) getting kidnapped and dying. After the devastation, SH tries to commit suicide only to realize she has been transported back to 14 days before SB's death. Not only does SH go back in time, but for some reason Ki Dong Chan also goes back in time. DC was once a detective, but due to certain circumstances, he quit the force and became a private detective (well, a sleazy one). Eventually, SH and DC realize what had happened, and the two start their journey to keeping SB safe. The rest of the drama revolved around SH and DC coming across many obstacles to finding out who actually kidnapped SB and why. It was a very intense drama and each episode from 1-14 had cliffhangers that will keep you at the edge of your seat. I have to admit, I was a bit disappointed with the rushed ending, but it all came together none-the-less. I would definitely recommend this drama to anyone that wants to watch a suspense drama that will really keep you entertained throughout the whole drama. I give this drama a 4.5 out of 5 stars only because of the rushed ending (otherwise, this drama would have ended up in my top 10 all time faves). That`s it for now.

Osen

Hey Everyone!

So, I'm on a small hiatus from dramas for now, but I'll probably watch some weekly ones in the mean time. The latest one that I finally finished after putting it off for a while was Osen. It was a cute Japanese drama about the owner of a traditional Japanese restaurant and her many endeavours to keep the restaurant running. It was a cute drama and I would suggest it to anyone that wants to learn more about traditional food in Japan. The dishes were all very simple yet required complex steps to make them. So, as a result, I found it quite interesting to see what true Japanese foods were and how difficult it was to make them. It was more of a comedy than romance drama though, so for those of you that want something more like my usual posts, then this is not for you. Anyways, I give this drama a 4.5 out of 5 stars. That's it for now.

Cunning Single Lady

 Hey Everyone!

I just finished another drama today (a bit delayed since I was out of town during the finale). Anyways, the drama was called Cunning Single Lady and it was mainly about Cha Jung Woo and Na Ae Ra. The two married when they were younger but got a divorce because of several issues in their marriage. A few years later, JW and AR meet again to torture each other since they blamed each other for the end of their marriage. When the two were married, AR had to fend for them because JW wanted to have his own business. The two were very poor and had lots of debts. However, after the divorce, JW suddenly struck rich and when AR found out, she decided to work in his company to get revenge. The rest of the drama revolved around revelations of what really caused their divorce and how to get over their hatred towards each other. It was a cute romantic comedy with lots of laughs (though some emotional roller coasters!). I give this drama a 4.5 out of 5 stars. That's it for now.

I Need Romance 2

Hey Everyone!

So, recently, I've been a little busy with school and family things, so I didn't really have much time to watch many dramas (also, many did not air due to the recent S. Korean ferry accident; my heart goes out to all the families mourning). However, as soon as my exam was over, I decided to give something light hearted a try because too many stressful events have happened to me recently (this drama was a nice escape). The drama was called I Need Romance 2. It was an interesting story involving Joo Yeol Mae and Yoon Suk Hyun. The two grew up together as neighbours (their mothers were best friends) and eventually fell in love with each other. However, SH always kept YM from knowing his deepest thoughts. He never let her in. Due to that reason, the two got together and broke up several times. The drama started after their 6th time getting together. But, that did not quite end pleasantly either. Eventually, YM met Shin Ji Hoon, a sweet coffee shop owner. The two also had an interesting past, where they had met many times in passing (of course, YM's memory was weak, so she did not remember such encounters). It did not take very long for YM to finally give in to JH, but during this time, SH was realizing what he had lost. The rest of the drama revolved around the three characters and their love triangle. Not only that, but there were cute side stories involving YM's two best friends. The drama was cute and I liked the character development. I also had major "second lead syndrome" *sigh*. Regardless, it was what I needed right now, so it was nice to keep myself preoccupied with this one. I give this drama a 4 out of 5 stars. That's it for now.

Bride of the Century

Hey Everyone!

So, I recently finished another weekly drama called Bride of the Century. It was a really good drama that had some interesting twists. The drama was mainly about Choi Kang Ju and Na Doo Rim. Initially, DR lived in the countryside but was discovered by Jang Yi Hyun as a look-a-like to his sister (Jang Yi Kyung). YK was engaged to KJ, but decided to run away before their engagement was made formal. That is when YK's mother and YH went to ask DR to play YK for a while. At first DR was hesitant, but she needed the money for her grandmother's surgery. KJ was a very cold and serious person, until he met DR. Initially, he was fascinated by this unusual person called YK (well DR), because of all the strange things she did (e.g. cake eating contest). The two eventually fell for each other, but only to figure out that KJ's family has a curse; each first born son's first wife will die. Turned out, that YK and her mother plotted to have DR come because they wanted her to marry KJ and die, then YK would take her place. The rest of the drama revolved around DR trying to make the decision to marry KJ, even if it meant death for her. As well, various other mysteries were solved throughout the rest of the drama. I'm not usually a fan of supernatural, but this was a well played one. The acting done by the lead actress was excellent in both roles. I would definitely give this drama a 5 out of 5 stars. That's it for now.

The King 2 Hearts

Hey Everyone!

I just finished the drama called The King 2 Hearts. It was an interesting drama about the need for a collaboration between South and North Korea. The drama was mainly about Lee Jae Ha and Kim Hang Ah. JH was the Crown Prince of South Korea, whereas HA was a military officer from North Korea. The drama began with JH coming out from the army and being sent to join the WOC (World Officers Championship). This was the first time Korea could qualify for it because the two nations came together to join forces. At the training, JH met HA. JH was a bratty and selfish Prince, whereas HA was a boisterous military personnel (the two clashed from the start). JH had no interest in the joining of forces between the South and North, but his brother (the King) was determined to have the collaboration (for peace between the nations). However, not only did the King plan the collaboration, but he wanted to up the antics by having JH marry a North Korean girl. In the meantime, JH had to go through many obstacles to finally trust the soldiers of the North. Eventually, Club M's president (John Mayer) came into the picture. He was a psychopath that wanted the throne to himself, so he used his influence (his company deveoped military weapons) to cause more trouble before a collaboration could occur. The rest of the drama revolved around finding mutual trust between North and South Korea and their struggles with John Mayer. It was a really interesting drama that showed the struggles between the two nations. It was nice to see that they fought for peace till the end. I give this drama a 4.5 out of 5 stars. That's it for now.

After the Banquet (Korean Movie)

Hey Everyone!

I just finished another Korean movie called After the Banquet. It was a cute movie, that started off with a wedding between friends from college. It had been 15 years after they met, and all of their friends from the college days came to the wedding except one. After the wedding, they all decided to spend a few days together with the bride and groom since it had been so long since they all saw each other. However, suddenly, Mi Rae appeared, a 15 year old girl that was the daughter of the missing friend. It turned out that their friend died one year ago, and since all the friends gathered together, she wanted to find out who her father was. The rest of the movie showed the relationships between each character and the discovery of who MR's father was. It was a cute movie but I admit to have skimmed through a bit because it was a little slow. I give this movie at 3.5 out of 5 stars. That's it for now.

Emergency Couple

Hey Everyone!

I finished the drama Emergency Couple a few days ago, but had a few things going on that kept me busy. Since I came on after finishing another drama today, I figured I should write this review as well. The drama was mainly about Oh Jin Hee and Oh Chang Min. The two got married when they were young, but because of differences, they got a divorce. Now, a few years later, the two met again in the Emergency department. The rest of the drama revolved around JH and CM becoming close again and learning what went wrong in the first place. The drama was a cute romantic comedy. I give this drama a 4 out of 5 stars. That's it for now.

Beyond the Clounds

Hey Everyone!

I just finished another drama just now (well, actually, I finished a different drama last week, but will post that summary after this, since it's fresh in my mind right now). Anyways, the drama was called Beyond the Clouds, and it was really good! I usually avoid melodramas, but since this was a new Han Ji Hye drama, I had to give it a try. The opening scene was intense, as we saw Jung Se Ro for the first time in a dramatic manner. From that scene, they go 5 years into the past to show what had happened to cause SR's angst. It turned out, SR was a simple young adult, that lived a simple life. However, his father was a thief by profession and lived in Thailand comitting his thefts. SR was worried about his father, so he went to Thailand to see what was going on. In the meantime, SR's father was planning a big diamond theft with Park Kang Jae and Seo Jae In from Bel Laffair. In Thailand, there was an international jewellery exhibition, where Bel Laffair's CEO, Han Young Won was displaying her jewellery. The diamonds that SR's father was going to steal, happened to be in the hands of YW's fiancee Gong Woo Jin. On the night of the theft, WJ figured out what was going on and followed the thieves, so KJ decided to lock WJ up in their hideout. Unfortunately, SR ended up arriving to Thailand on the night of the theft, and found WJ in his father's house. Suddenly, out of nowhere, WJ was shot. SR was startled, so he called YW to inform her that WJ was shot. That night, was the night that changed many lives. By the end of the night, SR's father got into an accident, WJ died, and poor SR was arrested and framed for the murder of WJ. Because SR was arrested, he could not pay for his father's surgery, so his father also passed away while SR was in jail. Five years later, SR came out of jail and was on a mission to get revenge on those that put him behind bars (i.e. anyone related to Bel Laffair). The rest of the drama, revolved around SR learning the secrets behind his arrest and his long journey to getting revenge and falling in love with the wrong person. The drama was very intense and the story was very touching. I give this drama a 4.5 out of 5 stars. That's it for now.

A Werewolf Boy (Korean Movie)

Hey Everyone!

So, I finally decided to watch the movie A Werewolf Boy. It was a touching story about Soon Yi and her family moving to the countryside due to her respiratory illness. There she met an unusual boy that grew up in the wilderness, whom they named Chul Soo. Initially, SY could not stand CS, but eventually decided to tame him. The rest of the movie revolves around SY learning more about CS, and CS learning how to be human. It was a cute movie, but I'll be honest, I started watching it because Song Joong Ki and Park Bo Young starred in it. They did a great job in the movie. I give this movie at 4.5 out of 5 stars. That's it for now.

Hot Young Bloods (Korean Movie)

Hey Everyone!

I just finished another Korean movie after a while, called Hot Young Bloods. It was an extremely cute drama about teens in the 1980's. The plot revolved around Young Sook and Joong Gil. JG was the biggest play-boy in the high school. He had seduced almost all the girls in the school except YS. YS was the school Jjang (gang leader/best fighter), and so JG avoided seducing her (also because a Jjang at another school claimed her to be his girl and threatened JG). YS however, had a huge crush on JG and continuously sought his attention. JG never gave YS a chance, especially as soon as Soo Hee (a beautiful transfer student) showed up. JG follwed SH around and wanted to seduce her. In the meantime, YS was becoming more and more jealous of JG's affections for SH. The rest of the movie revolved around a few revelations that made the plot even deeper. I really like this movie because it showed that there are many sides to stories, and without realizing the truth, you never know what you are missing out on! I give this movie a 5 out of 5 stars because it had several surprises. That's it for now.

Two Weeks

Hey Everyone!

So, I suddenly finished another drama today called Two Weeks. It was honestly amazing! It has been a while since I wanted to marathon a drama because I was on the edge of my seat during every episode! If I didn't have to study everyday, I would have marathoned the whole series in less than two days. The drama was a suspense themed drama. It was mainly about Jang Tae San and the many obstacles in his path to save his new-found daughter's life. Initially, TS had no idea he even had a daughter until one day, his ex-girlfriend, Seo In Hye showed up. Their daughter, Seo Soo Jin had cancer and needed a bone marrow transplant. TS was shocked to find out that he had a daughter, but he agreed to do the test, and miraculously, he was a match. The surgery was to take place two weeks later, but in the meantime, a gang-leader decided to frame TS for a murder. TS knew that he had to keep away from infections, so he decided to escape from his imprisonment (since the people that framed him, wanted to kill him). During his escape, the Prosecutor Park Jae Kyung and detective Im Seung Woo were the ones trying to catch TS. JK had her own motive to catch TS, and SW (who was in charge of TS's case) happened to be IH's fiancee. The rest of the drama revolved around TS trying to clear his name and save his daughter! This drama was so intense, that I finished the series within three days. I give this drama a 5 out of 5 stars because it kept me glued to my screen the whole time. That's it for now.

I Need Romance 3

Hey Everyone!

So, I just marathoned the drama I Need Romance 3 this weekend! Initially, I needed something to fill the gap after watching Shut Up Flower Boy Band. Of course, it helped that the lead male actor (Sung Joon) was in both dramas (lol). Anyways, this drama was just what I needed this weekend. I have been recovering from a cold, and what I really needed was a sappy romantic comedy. And that is exactly what I got. The drama was mainly about Shin Joo Yun and Joo Wan. JY had taken care of Wan when he was a baby because his mother paid her mother to be a nanny (Wan was 6 years younger than JY). When Wan turned 9, he emigrated to the US, but before he left, he promised JY that he would come back one day. 17 years later, he came back to Korea as a successful music composer and writer (by the name of Joo Allen). When JY found out he returned, she called him and told him not to bother coming to live with her (since her memories of taking care of Wan were nothing like he remembered). However, Wan had other plans. In the meantime, JY was dumped by her boyfriend, yet she was emotionless; she did not cry or make a scene or even ask him to stay. A few days later, Wan was DJ'ing an event where JY had gone with her company colleagues. There, she found Wan staring at her, and she felt exhilarated that such a young guy found her attractive (she had no idea who he was). But unfortunately, Wan was there with her arch nemesis, Oh Se Ryung. SR had stolen JY's first boyfriend many years ago, but what hurt JY the most was that SR was her bestfriend. Since this incident was the first time the two had interacted in years, the two cursed each other right in front of Wan. Wan had no idea that it was JY (possibly someone that resembled her), and refused to believe it was her because the JY he remembered was a sweet and innocent girl. But to Wan's dismay, it turned out that it was his JY. So, Wan went on a mission to bring back the old sweet JY. The rest of the drama revolved around Wan trying to make JY "human" again whilst trying to figure out his and her true feelings. There were a few other cute side stories as well. I really liked this drama because it was more realisitic. It showed that you cannot give up on love and just be with someone because they are the "right fit". You should love someone that makes you feel loved. I felt that was a good interpretation of love as I still feel that way about my fiancee (10 years and counting). The drama was relatable and it also had a very "Sex and the City" vibe. I definitely give this drama a 5 out of 5 stars. That's it for now.

Shut Up Flower Boy Band

Hey Everyone!

I just finished another drama today! The drama was called Shut Up Flower Boy Band. It was honestly one of the best "music" genre dramas I have seen. It was mainly about a group friends that were part of band called Eye Candy. Initially, the group was made up for six boys; Lee Byung Hee, Kwon Ji Hyuk, Lee Hyun Soo, Jang Il Do, Seo Kyung Jung, and Kim Ha Jin. But then, unfortunately BH died from an unexpected accident. After than incident, the boys went on a journey to get the song BH composed to be known to the world. Their main goal was to enter in the Rock Festival because before BH's passing, he had signed them up for it. However, to perform, the boys had to stay in school. Due to that, JH became the new band leader and helped the boys get on the stage at the Rock Festival. The rest of the drama involved the band growing closer and learning more about themselves through their musical journey. As well, there were developing feelings between JH and Im Soo Ah (who was also BH's muse). The drama was great because it showed how strong of a friendship the boys had. Through many ups and downs, the boys grew to trust eachother and enjoy music while doing so. It was really nice to see something so refreshing for once. I definitely give this drama a 5 out of 5 stars. That's it for now.

Let's Eat

Hey Everyone!

I just finished one of my favourite weekly dramas called Let's Eat. As people say, this drama was definite "food porn". I have had my fair share of wanting the food they aired on the show. The drama was about Lee Soo Kyung and her adventures with food and love. SK was a divorcee that just loved food. She lived next to Goo Dae Young and Yoon Jin Yi. Majority of the drama revolved around SK and her love of food, with delightful clips of food from all over Korea. Another aspect of the drama was the friendship between SK, DY, and JY. JY was in love with DY right from the start, whereas Kim Hak Moon was in love with SK since College days (almost 10 years). SK worked for HM, but was always completely oblivious to his feelings for her because he was a complete jerk to her (he thought he was taking revenge on her for rejecting him those years ago). Throughout the drama, there was also a more serious matter, about a "don't ask" murderer. Somehow, SK got involved in that matter, and so the rest of the drama uncovered that mystery. This drama was really great because it always made me anxious for the next episode. I give this drama a 5 out of 5 stars and will definitely put it on my all time "top 5" K-drama list. That's it for now.

Can We Love?

Hey Everyone!

So, I finally finished a weekly drama again. I should be finishing another one this week. The drama was called Can We Love? and it starred Eugene (one of my favourite actresses). I mainly started this drama because of Eugene, but I realized it was a really good drama. The drama was about three "nearing age 40" women; Jung Wan, Sun Mi, and Ji Hyun. The three had been friends since they were younger, but over the years they became a bit distant due to their own lives. Jung Wan was a recently divorced single mom with a dream to become a script writer. Sun Mi was a successful Interior Designer, but still single. Ji Hyun was a devoted housewife, living the perfect life, with a loving husband and two children. The drama started with JW finally getting a break by getting to write for a new movie directed by the famous Oh Kyung Soo. Soon after JW joined the film, she introduced SM to the company (since she was an Interior Designer). While discussing preparations for the film, both JW and SM fell from KS. Meanwhile, JH was seen to be living the perfect life, yet life was not so perfect behind the scenes. It was true that she had a loving husband, but her mother-in-law was very abusive and soon enough, an ex showed up. The rest of the drama revolved around the love triangle between JW, SM, and KS, as well as JH coping with her not-so-perfect life. I really liked the drama because it showed that no relationship is perfect and that everyone needs to have good friends to rely on in their times of need. I give this drama a 4.5 out of 5 stars only because it did not make me anticipate the show every week. That's it for now.

No Breathing (Korean Movie)

Hey Everyone!

I was not looking for a movie to watch tonight, but somehow came across this new movie. It literally just got posted on a website, and I honestly started it thinking it was a new drama. The cast was star studded, and the movie itself was really cute. The movie was No Breathing, and it was about Woo Sang (Lee Jong Suk) and Won Il (Seo In Guk). The two met when they were children at a swim-meet, but after Won Il won that one match, he never swam again. However, Woo Sang continued to swim and became the national swimmer. Fate suddenly brought both of them together again when Won Il got expelled from his high school and Woo Sang got kicked off the national team. Won Il came in with a bubbly and carefree personality, whereas Woo Sang was very serious about making it to the nationals again (to be on the Olympic team). During their time together, they learned that swimming should be fun and that friendship is just as important as competition. The rest of the movie involved the two mains learning about what swimming means to them. I really liked the movie because I love movies with sports themes (especially since the Sochi Olympics just ended). Anyways, I give this movie at 5 out of 5 stars because it had lots of laughs. I really enjoyed the main cast's acting as well. That's it for now.

Daddy Long Legs (Korean Movie)

Hey Everyone!

So, I was in the mood for another movie tonight, so I watched Daddy Long Legs. It's an older Korean film, but it was a great movie. The movie was mainly about Young Mi and her "Daddy Long Legs". After YM's parents passed away, a "Daddy Long Legs" appeared. He gave her lots of gifts and was always such a mystery. One day, when she finally entered a broadcasting company, she started sending messages out to "Daddy Long Legs" via the radio show that she wrote for. Because she suddenly moved to Seoul for the show, she was given a house to live in. There, she started reading the owner's emails (about a 10 year love). Soon after, she herself found someone to love; Jun Ho. She kept on bumping into him everywhere, and soon after, realized that she was falling in love with him. The rest of the movie revolved around YM trying to figure out who the house's owner loves and starting her own romance. The movie was written really well. It was actually based on an American novel written by Jean Webster. All I can say is that, this movie has lots of unexpected twists! I really liked it. Hope you all give this movie a chance. I give this movie at 5 out of 5 stars. That's it for now.

Queen of the Night (Korean Movie)

Hey Everyone!

Wow, this must be my Korean movie week. I just finished another great movie called Queen of the Night. It was mainly about a very nerdy and cowardly man, Young-Soo, that kept going on blind dates but finally ended up with the gorgeous Hee-Joo. He somehow wooed the beautiful Hee-Joo by consistently visiting the sandwich shop she worked at. 3 years later, the two were married and living very happily. One night, they ended up going to Young-Soo's class reunion, where Hee-Joo competed in a dancing competition to win a kimchi frige. The fact that Hee-Joo did such a sexy dance, confused Young-Soo because he thought she had stage fright. The rest of the movie revolved around Young-Soo trying to figure out Hee-Joo's past. It was a very interesting drama, which showed that trust is a very important issue in a relationship. I give this movie a 5 out of 5 stars. That's it for now.

Accomplice A.K.A. Blood & Ties (Korean Movie)

Hey Everyone!

I watched a really good Korean movie yesterday called Accomplice. Normally, I'm not a huge fan of Korean movies, but this one was exceptionally good. It was not your typical "abduction" plot. The movie was mainly about Da-Eun (Song Ye-Jin) who lived a great life with her father. Her father treated her like a princess all her life, and always did everything for her. However, one day, she watched a movie based on a true story about an abduction that ended horribly. At the end of the movie, they played the abductor's real voice. The voice sent chills down Da-Eun's back because it sounded just like her father. Not only that, the line "It ain't over, 'til it's over" was said by the abductor (a phrase her father taught her). This began Da-Eun's obsession with figuring out her father's past and to see if there is link with the boy that was abducted many years ago. The movie was very interesting and touched upon a subject that is prevalent in many countries; child abduction. It also showed that sometimes you grow close to your abductor, enough to want to protect them. I really liked this movie and would give it a 5 out of 5 stars. That's it for now.

You Who Came from the Stars

Hey Everyone!

I finally finished another drama last night! The drama was called You Who Came from the Stars and it was great! I don't usually complete dramas with "fantasy" as an element unless it's really good. This drama was about a man (currently) named Do Min Joon that came to Earth 400 years ago on his space ship from another planet. He got stuck on Earth because he missed his flight back home since he was helping a little girl. Now, he had 3 months left to live on Earth before his space ship came back. However, during those 3 months, he met Chun Song Yi; an eccentric actress and model. SY was everything MJ hated about a girl, except for the fact that she resembled the little girl he had saved 400 years ago. It turned out that he had saved SY when she was younger (12 years ago) because she looked identical to the little girl he had saved when he first arrived on Earth. He then started to follow SY around to see if she is the same person. It turned out that she was definitely not the same girl, but during their interactions with each other, he grew to have feelings for her. In the meantime, Lee Hwi Kyung's (SY's childhood friend and someone madly in love with her for 12 years) brother had murdered one of the actresses that SY was rivals with. The media made SY into the reason for the actress' "suicide", however during the time of her hiding, she became closer with MJ. But, HK's brother was now after SY because he thought SY knew the truth and had evidence against him. Of course MJ would not have any of that, so he kept showing his powers in front of HK's brother to stop him from hurting SY. The rest of the drama revolved around developing feelings between MJ and SY and the obstacles in front of them, as well as the long struggle to put HK's brother behind bars. It was a very interesting drama and the plot was unique. I would give this drama a 5 out of 5 stars because of its originality and acting. Even the ending was very appropriate (won't spoil it!). That's it for now.

Bel Ami (Pretty Man)

Hey Everyone!

It's been a while since I last finished a drama. Although this drama ended a while ago, I just haven't had a chance to watch the ending till today. Anyways, I just finished the drama Bel Ami. It was a cute drama revolving around the relationship between Dokgo Ma Te and Kim Bo Tong. BT fell in love with the "beautiful" MT in high school, however he was always out of her league. However, once they reached adulthood, MT's mother passed away leaving behind his birth secret. Hong Yoo Ra was the one that MT's mother left the "passcode" to, but YR did not give it to MT for free. YR requested that MT learn how to be a businessman by meeting 10 successful women (and I suppose conquer them). The rest of the drama revolved around MT finding out the "passcode" that his late mother left him and becoming a more successful man. All along the way, MT had help from the clumpsy and cute BT. Of course a love triangle formed between MT, BT, and the eccentric Choi David. The drama was cute and dramatic at times. I would give this drama a 4.5 out of 5 stars because the plot was good. That's it for now.

Reply 1994

Hey Everyone!

Happy New Year! I hope everyone has an even better year this year, than the last. I ended 2013 by finally finishing Reply 1994. It was such a good drama! I absolutely love the comedy in the Reply dramas. After Reply 1997's success, I was really looking forward to Reply 1994. However, I was not sure if I would like Go Ah Ra (not the biggest fan) as the lead actress, but she did a good job in this drama. The drama was mainly about Sung Na Jung and the people that stayed at her parent's boarding house. NJ and her family moved to Seoul a few years before all the boarders were at the house. At first, her childhood friend Sseureki (Trash) was the only boarder, but then Haitei and Jo Yoon Jin moved in. The drama began with Samcheonpo moving into the boarding house, followed by Bing Geu Re (who brought his cousin, Chil Bong over a lot). All of the boarders were from the country and moved to Seoul for school. Initially, NJ did not develop any feelings for anyone until she suddenly fell for Trash. At that time, Trash only saw her as a little sister. Meanwhile, CB had a huge crush on NJ. The rest of the drama kept the audience on the edge of their seat, trying to figure out who NJ would end up with. The teasing throughout the drama was anxiety-provoking. The drama kept me anticipating the next episode each week. I really liked it and each of the secondary characters had some cute story-lines too. I give this drama a 5 out of 5 stars because it was such a good drama, with both feels and comedy. That's it for now.
