Romance Town

Hey Everyone!

So, I have just finished another drama. It was called Romance Town. I had started it a while ago, but decided to wait until it was complete. The drama revolved around the relationship between No Soon Geum and Kang Gun Woo. SG met GW many years before reuniting, when he was really chubby and had very little confidence. He was then sent to the US to study, while SG became their maid. Meanwhile, the new wife (GW's new step-mother) hired SG by firing their old maid (like a grandmother to GW). When GW returned, the two had many arguments over the issue, but later fall for each other. SG always liked GW because of the letters they sent to each other (GW thought to the old maid). In the mean time, the maids on the street frequently met up for Go-stop and lottery nights. It so happened that SG bought one for herself the one time they won the big ($10 billion) prize. However, by mistake she thought she won the whole amount. GW also found out about the money, but SG always feared he would only like her for her money if he found out, so she always lied to him about it. Later, all the maids have a great argument over who gets how much and how to divide up the money. GW's father also did not approve of GW and SG's relationship, and drove them apart for 2 years (GW went to the US again to make money). Finally, after all the money issues were resolved, SG and GW were together again after he returned 2 years later. In the end, many relationships were mended, such as GW's father and his step-mother. Overall, it was a cute drama, with laughter and sadness. I liked it. I would give this drama a 4.5 out of 5 stars only because the ending could have been a bit better. However, definitely recommended for a light hearted drama. That's it for now.

The Greatest Love

Hey Everyone!

So, I just finished another drama. This one was quite cute and a bit different, definitely light hearted. The drama was The Greatest Love. This drama was mainly about an ex-idol Gu Ae Jung and a current top star Dok Ko Jin. They AJ had many rumours and had hit rock bottom once after her girl group broke up. However, DK is a great actor and has a great reputation. Somehow, the two meet and after various events, continue to meet. DK previously had a heart transplant, and at that time, the surgeon played AJ's song "Du geun du geun" (heart beating). So, after meeting AJ, everytime her phone rang, the ringtone was that song. After hearing the song, his heart always beat much faster than the normal range (60-90 beats per minute). Soon, he thought he had fallen in love with AJ, and confessed to her. At that time, she rejected him because she never though someone of his caliber would ever actually like him. Then, after DK actually fell for her, he realized his heart's condition and reason for his heart beats. When he told AJ, she thought he only liked her temporarily due to the song. However, he really did love her, and though he tried to let her go (to the Oriental medicine doctor), eventually AJ came back to him. At that point, DK realized his heart needed another surgery, and only after that can he survive. Though he knew his chances were low, he still made a video telling the world that he loves AJ and to see her in a better light and not believe in the scandals surrounding her anymore. The surgery turned out to be a success, and soon after returning, he proposed to AJ. She initially was hesitant because she didn't want to ruin his career due to her past reputation of scandals. However, DK went on a show and exposed the truth about their relationship. There was a lot of negative feedback from fans, however eventually after seeing his video before the surgery, people gave in, seeing how much he loves her. In the end, they showed that they get married and have a child. They are also both successful again. It was a cute drama and the characters were amusing, especially DK. A very light hearted drama, worth a watch. I give this drama a 5 out of 5 stars because of the different type of love displayed. That's it for now.

Manny

Hey Everyone!

So, I just finished another drama called Manny. I was pretty caught up in this drama, but needed to catch up on only 4 episodes at the end of the series. It was a cute drama, but not that exciting. It was mainly about Kim Yi Han who is known as a famous Manny (male nanny). Seo Do Young always read his books and followed his ventures. DY is a single mother raising her two children. However, soon after her divorce, her son started to have sleeping issues. So, miraculously she got YH to help her. He had recently been part of a scandal in NY, so it was nice to find somewhere to work. However, soon, DY fell in love with YH, and he soon after realized his feelings too. However, DY's sister also fell for YH. After YH rejected DY's sister, her sister became really upset and wanted him gone, but left it be because of the children. After a little break from this, finally DY confessed because she didn't want him to leave, and soon after he told her his feelings too. Eventually, DY's sister did find out, and they almost broke up. As well, when the children found out, they ran away from home, upon which YH finally left. A year later, DY and YH finally meet again at the airport on their way to NY (DY for her fashion school and YH for a job). Finally they were together. I personally did not find this drama awestriking, but it was a cute family drama. Not too lovey dovey, and some humour. It was a good drama if you have the time to watch it, but I would not suggest it unless you want a really light hearted drama to watch. I give this drama a 4 out of 5 stars. That's it for now.

Lie to Me

Hey Everyone!

So, I just finished another drama, this one I watched half a while ago, then waited till second half completed before watching again, it was called Lie to Me. It is mainly about Gong Ah Jung, who is a civil servant (government worker) that starts a random lie about being married to the chaebol, Hyun Ki Jun. She started the lie after realizing her ex-best friend and first love were married. She wanted to compete against her friend, so she made up a fib. But, somehow the news spread like wildfire and somehow spread to his friends too. However, since AJ knew KJ's brother, he helped her continue the lie and introduced KJ's clients to her. They happened to like her, so KJ went along with the lie. Eventually, they made a contract to help eachother with their issues by continuing the lie. However, soon, they fell for eachother. After a while, KJ's ex came back and tried to get him back. In the meantime, KJ's brother fell for AJ as well. But, KJ's brother gave up on AJ because the only reason KJ brother up with his ex was because his brother asked him to not love the girl he did too. After many struggles such as AJ losing her job due to all the scandals, they finally got together and were ready to get married. The drama was not bad. The plot was predictable, but the directions were really good. I loved all the realistic acting and positioning in the drama. I give this drama a 5 out of 5 stars. That's it for now.
