Kaichou Wa Maid-sama!

Hey Everyone!

Yesterday, I think was the worst day of my life. I hurt someone close to me really badly, and now I have to wait to see if they'll keep me in their life. I care about this person a lot, and I have been hoping and praying that I can continue to stay next to that person. I am a very flawed individual, I know that, but I hope that person will realize that I will work hard and try my best to make things up for the rest of my life. My life seems a bit too dramatic lately, and I caused it all myself. I deserve to be in pain because I hurt that person so badly. But nonetheless, I hope to stay next to that person, if I am allowed to. I hope that soon I can post on here with good news. Please pray for me if you are reading this, that I am forgiven someday. Anyways, I'll stop my depression for now and explain the recent anime I finished - Kaichou Wa Maid-sama!. I am not really in the mood to describe it to the fullest because I am just in too much pain (perhaps not enough to compare to that person). But I will keep waiting, and hopefully someday I will be able to come back on here and post something happier. For now, I will tell you the story between Misaki and Usui. This was a cute little romantic comedy anime. It was just mainly about Usui who falls for Misaki because she is just so hard working and kind to others. Misaki on the other hand, takes longer to realize his true feelings, since he always teases her. In the end though, they share a kiss and they are happy. I guess I cannot really be happy for them since right now I am in a bad state. But, I wish everyone happiness. I'll give this anime a 5 out of 5 stars since it had all the elements I usually look for. I'm sorry to all my readers for this depressive post. I hope soon I can be more cheerful when I post. I will probably get busy soon, preparing for final exams anyways. Just know, I am still waiting, and that I may not respond on here for awhile. Take care everyone for now.

Paradise Ranch

Hey Everyone!

It's been a week almost since I last posted! I had a bit of work to do, so had to put off watching another drama. Plus, I was waiting for Paradise Ranch to end. Luckily the timing was perfect! This drama was really cute. It actually had one of the members from TVXQ in it (Chang Min). I wasn't a bit fan of his before, but he acted really well (much better than the other member; Yunho haha). Anyways, this drama was mainly about Dong Joo and Da Ji. The two orginally got married at a really young age (21 and 19 respectively), but got a divorce only 6 months into the marriage since it was too difficult. They both realized that they were too busy with school and other things to be in a marriage. To help each other, they separated, but that caused chaos in their respective families. 6 years later, Da Ji was still at the Jeju Ranch, but had not been in contact with Dong Joo for the whole duration. Suddenly, Dong Joo got transferred to the Jeju branch, and happened to own Da Ji's ranch. The two end up living together and realizing their feelings for each other. Dong Joo also found out that Da Ji did try to find him before, but he was at the military then. As well, she went through a lot of hardships since her father got into debt, and so she could not go study abroad like she had hoped to. In the end, she became a Vet, and stayed on the ranch (new dream). However, due to complications and more fraud, Dong Joo now owned her ranch, and (at first) because he felt guilty towards her, started to help her regain the ranch. However, in the meantime, he fell for her again. Though, throughout the drama, as their feelings developed, they also had respective significant others. Da Ji fell for Yoon Ho (*squeal* Joo Sang Wook from Kimicheed Radish Cubes - So good looking! Love his smile!), however he was still not fully divorced, so he had to let Da Ji go because he felt guilty towards his pitiful wife. Through those rough times, Dong Joo helped her out a lot. Da Ji then started to realize her feelings for him. Finally though, after a lot of struggles, they told their parents, they would not rush into marriage again, and will wait for their parent's approval this time. So, 1 year later, we saw that YH returned to this wife, and Da Ji and Dong Joo were attempting to have a child so that they can get married. It was a really cute drama. I would not really call it a melodrama, as claimed on some sites. It was slightly dramatic, but there were more cute laughs than too heavy drama. So, I give this drama a 5 out of 5 stars because it was really cute and the couple ended up together again. Looking forwards to watching another drama soon. That's it for now.

Will it Snow for Christmas?

Hey Everyone!

So, I finished another drama called Will it Snow for Christmas? today. Wow, that was a very melodramatic drama! It was mainly about the coincidental meeting between Cha Kang Jin and Han Ji Wan and their twisted fate. They fell in love when they were young (highschool) but one day KJ loses the necklace his father gave him in the river, and to retrieve it, JW's overachieving brother helps her to find it, only to drown and die. JW then blames herself for his death, and disappears to Seoul (never actually telling KJ that she likes him). 8 years later, KJ and JW meet again, because KJ works in the Architecture firm across the street from where JW works in a cafe. JW ended up studying to be a Naturopath following in her father's footsteps, and the keep her brother's dream alive (though she is not very smart, she kept trying). There were many obstacles for JW and KJ to be together, such as a guy and girl that also liked them, but they eventually gave up realizing that they could never get between them (these two were lovers in the past, and in the end got together again). However, KJ's mother loved JW's father from long ago, and moved back to their hometown only to see him again. However, she saw JW's family being so happy, so she stayed away. But, one day JW's father realizes he has a brain tumour, and so he was dying, he decided to leave with KJ's mother to avoid telling anyone about the illness. He then dies, and KJ has to deal with JW's mother, who believes KJ to be her son that passed away. 3 years later, they are still in that terrible state of pretending to be siblings, until finally KJ's mother re-appears, and forces JW's mother to come to her senses. However, JW's mother did not leave them be, because she would not forgive KJ and his mother unless he left JW. So, he left her, but 1 year later, fortunately, JW's mother realized that they loved eachother and that KJ was genuine when he pretended to be her son. So, in the end, they finally (after sooo many obstacles) got together. I cried a lot for this drama, but ended up learning to fight my tears, by conditioning myself. Also, I mainly watched this drama because I got to see Kim Soo Hyun (Dream High - young KJ) again (also had Han Ye Seul from Couple of Fantasy)! Either ways, we'll see how well it works the next time I watch a drama. For now, I give this drama a 4.5 out of 5 stars only because it was dragging way too long and it was too melodramatic! Otherwise, it was a cute drama, that had some lovey dovey in it.

Couple of Fantasy

Hey Everyone!

So, I recently (well today) finished another drama. This one took a bit longer, because I wasn't as intrigued by the story line (a bit predictable). It was called Couple of Fantasy. The main plot was that Joh Anna was a really rich heiress, but a really cold-hearted, and mean woman. She was married to Park Billy, who was always afraid of her but stayed for the monetary gain. On the other hand, when Anna returns to Korea one night, she coincidentally bumps into Jang Chul Soo. They have many misunderstandings as they keep meeting up, and each time CS tends to lose money. Finally, one day Anna upsets Billy so much, that he asks for a divorce, but she gets furious because he is the only family she has left. She gets drunk, and falls into the sea. Later, it is CS that finds her in the hospital with amnesia (typical!), and takes her in as revenge. At his home, she was in charge of taking care of his 3 nephews, and being a homemaker. She struggled a lot, but learned many new things from this experience. They both also fall in love. In the meantime, Billy realizes she's alive, but for the money and for fear of losing it, he pretends not to know. In the end though, he finds out that Anna left all the money and fortune to him, and he realized that Anna has a warm side. So, when she regains her memories, Billy takes her back and lies that CS was at fault all along. In the end though, she goes back to CS because she loves him, and divorces Billy because she cannot be herself with him (well serves him right since he wanted to leave her in the first place). So, they basically lived happily ever after. It was a cute drama, and had a lot of funny scenes. I enjoyed it. I'll give this a 4 out of 5 stars because of the predictability and lagging start.

Dream High

Hey Everyone!

Wow, I just finished the most tear-jerking yet heart felt drama called Dream High. It was a very inspirational drama about 6 kids and their journey to make it in the entertainment business. Indeed, this topic has been covered many times, but this time, it wasn't your typical coverage of one couple, and their struggles. It actually showed what the business does in a very serious light. The 6 kids were Go Hye Mi, Song Sam Dong, Hyun Shi Hyuk, Yoon Baek Hee, Jason, and Kim Pil Sook. The main character seemed to be HM from the start, but in reality it turned out that all 6 characters got some coverage, and they showed how each of them matured through the complexity of each character. I admit, PS and J were a bit on the simple side, but they did face the issues of over-weight kids and how the business treats them (PS), as well as losing motivation (J). Their little love story was cute and they both matured well by realizing their dreams and not just making it about their relationship. The real drama was with HM, SD, SH, and BH. HM and BH were good friends, until having to enter Kirin Highschool, where their real rivalry began from the interview. HM was always very ignorant and treated her friends badly (including her bestfriend BH). BH though, trying to compete with HM, became monstrous, and did things she normally would not do, because of the pressure of the industry. Things from putting a tack in a friend's shoe to get a position, to throwing a flower pot on someone because they were getting ahead, all the way to the time she was sexually harassed because of her desperation to stay in the industry. Her character showed that it is really tough in this business, and that hard work does not always necessarily mean you will make it. But later, she does reconcile with HM and becomes a teacher at Kirin Highschool. Now, the love triangle between HM, SD, and SH. HM and SH knew eachother long ago in their childhood, whereas HM met SD in his hometown and tried to bring him to Seoul so that she can enroll in Kirin. Though SH liked HM from the start, so did SD. SD fell in love with HM at first sight, and though he knew she did not like him, he pursued her till the end. Personally, I love the underdog winning in the love triangles, but it does not occur that often. But lucky for me, this one did (sort of!). HM does pick SD in the end, but lets him go fulfill his dream in the U.S. as a soloist, who does make it big at the Grammy's. However, their love triangle was not that important to me really. Yes, true, I really wanted HM to pick SD, but the reasons why are more important than them actually getting together. First off, to speak of SH, he liked HM, but he was away a lot because he debuted in a group early. His main issue in the drama was that he was an illegitimate child of his father, and was always in hiding. The only way he could come out of it, was if he joined a band. But, this cost him HM, pretty much! He was always away, and though HM didn't realize her feelings for SD right away, SD was there for her while SH was away for long periods at a time. I admit, usually the first kiss wins (SH on a ferris wheel), but luckily again like I Really Really Like You, the underdog won! Either ways, SH faced the issue of BH getting sexually assaulted, and tried to protect her, but in the end BH realized she had to come forward. With that issue, SH and his father became close again, and so he was fine. But he realized that HM had fallen for SD. Now, SD and HM met first in the countryside, where SD fell for her at first sight! Though she only had ill intention in bringing him to Seoul (so she could stay in the school), in the end, they became really close friends. SD always protected HM and tried his best to understand her. Everyone knew SD liked HM, but HM never really gave in. But in the end is when she finally realized what he meant to her. He protected her from the flower pot and almost got brain damage, he fixed up graffiti, so that she could feel better from the bullying at school, and even went out of his way to read manhwas that she mentioned, to better understand her. He was always there for her. But unfortunately, he had an illness, that began to sprout, in which he would have random deafness. It is an illness that is very rare (irrelevant to the flower pot incidence, thank goodness!), and though he was an amazing singer and composer, this was a major set back! The calm and innocent SD, became really down and depressed after knowing of this (of course, it didn't help that he just saw SH and HM kissing on the ferris wheel that was in front of the restaurant he was supposed to take her to!). Anyways, HM helped him through that terrible time of his life, and he in the end, became really famous, though went to be very bright and lonesome. HM on the other hand, was originally an opera singer, but through her struggles at Kirin, she learned to change her stubborn self, and learned to protect her friends, instead of other selfishness. She matured a lot in the drama, and chose the guy wisely! Though I liked SH, I really thought SD was better for her because he was always protecting her, even knowing she liked someone else. I admit, it reminded me of I Really Really Like You, a lot. Anyways, though she did pick SD and they did have a kiss, but she let him go to the U.S. to pursue his dream of becoming world famous (which he did). All in all, there were great character development in this drama. Though, I wish it was a better ending for SD and HM, it was happy in the sense that they both realized their dreams, and still loved eachother (since he kept the K-necklace that she gave him, and she still had the charm he gave back to her - also sang the same song for him that she sang at the beginning when the first met). I really liked this drama because it kept me hooked to see how each character would develop. I finally feel like I watched a more serious drama, and it was a nice change, since it showed very complex characters. I cried a lot for this drama! Especially for SD. I could feel the internal struggles he had, and the actor did a wonderful job in portraying that SD's character! Personally, I wasn't that big of a fan of HM, I liked PS more hehe. She was cute and funny, but also told J like it was to motivate him! All the characters were good, but I admit, my favourite overall was SD, because of his journey from being a country-bumpkin, to becoming world renowned, even with his hearing problem. I thought that was amazing courage. Anyways, before I continue on and on, I give this drama a 5 out of 5 stars, because overall, it was an enjoyable drama with laughs and tears!

My Princess

Hey Everyone!

I finished another drama! I have been waiting for this one to finish for a while now! It's called My Princess. It was mainly about Lee Seol finding out that she is a 3rd generation princess, and Park Hae Young was the guy that primarily wanted to keep her from this position because it meant taking away his inheritance. HY's grandfather felt guilty about what happened in the past with SO's grandfather, so he wanted to bring back the Royal family. HY opposed just like his father did many years ago, but realized he was falling in love with SO. They fell in love with eachother, but faced many obstacles the pursuit of happiness. Some enemies to the pair and her crowning were her older sister, HY's childhood friend (Oh Yoon Joo), and the President. YJ caused a lot of problems throughout because first of all, she couldn't stand SO, and also because she disliked HY's grandfather. She did not want the restoration of the Royal family, so she plotted a lot to stop it. Though, in the end, the nation vote allowed a co-existence of the Royal family with the President. As well, SO and HY finally got together. I really liked the drama overall, but was disappointed with the complete ending because they left it a bit vague. Though it seems that they will get married eventually, they make it seem like a long distance relationship again! I guess I admit it would be hard to be the husband of a princess (always shadowed), but still, he loves her, so he should have stayed with her. Regardless, I give this drama a 4.5 out of the 5 stars only because of the ending. Otherwise, a very cute drama, with lots laughs and tears.
